How does Primary Care differ from Urgent Care?

While primary care can also address acute and immediate medical needs, primary care affords patients the longterm and consistent oversight of a healthcare team. From chronic issues that need routine attention to yearly check-ins, Primary Care Providers (PCPs) are your first point of contact for any physical needs. 

What services does Advanced Primary Care provide?

Our Primary Care clinicians can assist patients with:
  • Chronic health conditions that need longterm, in-depth care and attention
  • Annual physical evaluations for work, school, camp, etc.
  • Illness prevention, travel-related needs
  • Complete and all encompassing wellness advising from head-to-toe
  • Adjusting medications and starting new medications​
  • Specialist referrals and integration with Advanced Urgent Care's diagnostic services including CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound, Lab Work, Lung Cancer Screening, Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring, and more

What else should I know about Advanced Primary Care before my visit?

  • Advanced Primary Care (APC) is currently only contracted with Medicare and Blue Cross /Blue Shield for primary care visits.
  • However, diagnostic services (Lab Work, CT, X-ray, etc.) can be billed through Advanced Urgent Care where most insurances are accepted. 
  • The initial primary care consultation is $150 for cash-paying patients.
  • Subsequent visits incur a fee of $75 (not including any additional services that might be prescribed by the medical team).
  • Advanced Primary Care is located in Key Largo and Marathon only.
