COVID TESTING TYPES
We are now conducting testing for:
Please note: Rapid Antigen tests are generally recommended for travel. Rapid Antigen results are available on-site in under an hour. PCR tests are sent out to the lab for analysis, however results should be returned within 48 hours or less (barring weather or catastrophic events).
EXCLUSIONS TO TESTING: We DO NOT have a contractual relationship with Humana, Medicaid, nor do we accept insurance policies that exclude COVID-19 evaluation and treatment. Please call your insurance company for further clarification on what your policy covers. You may also check the Monroe County BOCC site for additional testing centers.

- Active COVID-19 in asymptomatic patients (PCR and Rapid Antigen available)
- Active COVID-19 in symptomatic patients (Rapid Antigen available immediately, followed by PCR if needed)

HOW TESTING WORKS
ACTIVE COVID-19 TESTING
Active COVID-19 testing involves swabbing the anterior (inner portion) of the nose to determine if you currently have COVID-19.
The two types of Active COVID-19 testing are:
*Please note: Any patient who tests positive for active COVID-19 must be reported to the Monroe County Department of Health by the laboratory analyzing the test. They will reach out to you and take over recommendations. Your results will also assist the Department by gathering useful information that can safeguard our community against the spread of COVID-19.
ACTIVE COVID-19 TESTING
Active COVID-19 testing involves swabbing the anterior (inner portion) of the nose to determine if you currently have COVID-19.
The two types of Active COVID-19 testing are:
- PCR (results can take up to 48 hours as analysis is done by an outside lab)
- Antigen rapid test (results are completed in about 45 minutes on-site)

BILLING
For insured patients: Advanced Urgent Care bills a visit to your insurance company, as you will need to have a doctor's orders from us to have the test administered. Your insurance will pay for the visit, for us to run the test, and to send the results.
